Former player wins Everton’s Player of the Year
Former Cheadle & Gatley player Jacob Towns has won the Everton Under 11 Player of the Year award at the club’s annual Academy Awards night.
Jacob joined Everton’s academy part way through the season and wins this award despite being up against players who’ve been with the club for a long time, some since the age of five.
This summer Jacob will be part of squads representing Everton in three overseas tournaments and is quite rightly very proud of his achievement and equally happy to hear his former team mates, the cup winners at Cheadle & Gatley, continue to be very successful.
Dad Danny Towns said:
We are very proud that Jacob started with Cheadle & Gatley and equally pleased when we get questions of support and general interest in what he is achieving.
All of us at Cheadle & Gatley are equally proud of Jacob’s achievements and wish him every success in the summer and beyond.
